More schools needed in SA
Andiswa Mkosi
10 April 2012
Three thousand schools and more need to be built in South Africa if the standard of education is to be improved.
This is the opinion of Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga who says more than one-thousand-200 schools have been built across the country during the past 10 years.
The minister agrees that this is not near enough to help deal with issues such as over-crowding.
The Basic Education Department will in partnership with the Nelson Mandela Foundation launch 94 school projects to celebrate Mandela Day in July.
