The Congress of the South African Trade Union in the North West plans to stage a march on Friday for the protection of women and children.
This comes after Cosatu noticed the alarming increase in gender related violence in the province.
Cosatu’s North West Provincial Secretary Solly Phetoe says there are so many women being killed by their partners and children are abused.
He added that they felt as workers and members of the community to do something about this abuse.
