Symposium for skills development of women

The Western Cape Department of Environmental Affairs and Development and Planning together with Indalo Yethu, will host the Western Cape World Environment Day Women in Environment Symposium.

The one day symposium would be to increase the participation and leadership of women by helping them to understand how to make sustainability a competitive and profitable advantage within the context of a green economy.

The department’s head of communication Aziel Gangerdine said they are looking to reach out to women in terms of skills development and business development.

He added with this environment, how it is that government can work with these individuals to really explore the opportunities in terms of a green economy.
