The Democratic Nursing Organisation of South Africa said it is saddened by the death of yet another baby at the Chris Hani Baragwanath hospital.

Denosa said there are underlying problems in the hospital including shortage of nurses and skills shortage.

Denosa Provincial Secretary in Gauteng Dimakatso said they have been engaging with the MEC of Health in the province, on that there is no way that does not have Midwifery training can work in the unit but there has been no response.

Dimakatso further said these unqualified nurses are continuously working in that unit and that is a danger to the society and they have requested that those nurses should be removed.

Dimakatso also said these problems are systemic problems.
