Red Cross Children’s Hospital received an upgrade

The B2 Ward at the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital in Cape Town on Thursday received a R10.5million upgrade and was officially opened. 

Improvements with the upgrade include less overcrowding, better facilities for staff and parents and eliminate crowded stressful passages. 

Communications Officer at Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital Lauren O Connor May said the patient and staff will benefit a lot from the several improvements from increase in space and the wards are much brighter.

She added that the biggest improvement of them all is the increase isolation cubicle, because there are nine cubicles now compared to the two that the hospital use to have.
