ACDP calls for harsh sentence against Kraaifontein teacher

The African Christian Democratic Party in the Western Cape said acts of rape must be strongly condemned this is after a Kraaifontein teacher was arrested for allegedly raping a 12-year-old learner multiple times. 

ACDP Provincial Leader Ferlon Christians said in the case of teachers and the department of education, they should by law ensure that a convicted rapist never puts foot in a classroom again. 

“We are very concerned that a teacher was arrested for allegedly raping a pupil,” Christians added.

He further added that they are calling for harsh sentences if found guilty and also ask when disciplinary action is taken by the Education Department, and the teacher is found guilty the teacher must never be allowed to teacher again.
