Ferlon Christians said that the ACDP in the
Western Cape is asking the
parking marshals to follow proper procedure when it comes to voicing out their
grievances.
Christians added that the ACDP condemns
appalling working conditions, but when the marshals protest they must do it the
appropriate way, by voicing their opinions with the employer so that then the
problem can be resolved.
The African Christian Democratic Party in
the Western Cape said it believes
that the CBD parking marshals are engaging in an
illegal strike.
Parking marshals in Cape Town downed tools on
Monday protesting against what they call exploitative conditions of employment.
ACDP Provincial Leader Ferlon Christians
has called on the employer and the employees to give their full cooperation so
that this matter may come to a speedy and equitable resolution for all parties.
