The African Christian Democratic Party in the Western Cape has condemned the attacks on paramedics at the Gugulethu Day hospital.

ACDP Provincial Leader Ferlon Christians has called on the Western Cape MEC of Health Thenus Botha to ensure better security at vulnerable public health facilities.

Christians said the paramedic and the trainee were robbed in front of the Gugulethu clinic and these criminals took their cell phones and urged the public to come forward with any information that may assists in the investigation.

He further urged Provincial Police Commissioner Arno Lamoer and the public to work together to ensure that paramedics are safe when they go out to save the lives of the people.
