The Congress of South African Trade Union said it welcomes the high court ruling ordering Legal Aid to pay the legal fees of the injured miners of the Marikana massacre.

Cosatu Spokesperson, Patrick Craven said it is essential that the Farlam Commission of Inquiry fulfils the mandate given to it by the government; to find out what exactly happened and why did it happened.

Craven said that they believe that justice should be a right for all, under the constitution, and not something which you only get if you can pay for it.

Craven added that it is essential for the credibility of the Farlam Commision, when it finally reaches its conclusion, it can be free of any suspicion of bias or doubt.
