The Western Cape MEC of Human Settlements Bonginkosi Madikizela will today hand over houses to four more people as part of the Masincedane People’s Housing Project in Strand.

Ministerial Spokesperson Bruce Oom said the PHP Programme is a strategic focus of the provincial government as communities become empowered through the housing process by taking part in the project management.

Oom said when the project is complete it will cost R26.7 million and will consist of 468 houses.

“All the beneficiaries are people who earn less than R3 500 per month and are South African citizens”.
