The Health Professions Council of South Africa today reported that there are more cases of fraudulent care certificates being issued.

This was discovered after an inspection by the Professional Board for Emergency Care at AMA Training Centre at an institution in Limpopo.

ER24 Spokesperson Vanessa Jackson said students enroll at unaccredited institutions that claim to offer emergency care training.

Jackson said at ER24 they always have tests that new applicants need to pass before they are being considered for employment, and failure in these tests results in the applicant not getting the job.

She further urged students to ensure that the institutions that they enroll with are accredited before they start with their lessons.
