One person died in a multiple vehicle collision in Durban

Netcare 911 paramedics responded to an accident in Durban late last night whereby one person died and several were seriously injured. 

Netcare 911 Spokesperson Santi Steinmann said when we arrived we found that a heavy goods vehicle had collided with multiple vehicles including two minibus vehicles. 

Steinmann added that one person tragically lost his live while multiple people sustained various injuries ranging from moderate to critical. 

All the injured people were treated on scene before they were transported to various hospitals in the area. 

The exact details of the cause of the accident and preceding events are not known at this stage but local police are investigating.
