Western Cape traffic department
arrested 17 drivers for driving under the influence this weekend.
An additional two people were arrested in for the possession of illegal cigarettes to the value of R50 000.
Western Cape traffic chief, Kenny
Africa, said that the traffic department had a total of 24 roadblocks throughout
the province. Twelve on Friday night, and twelve last night.
Africa added that there had been
no reported fatalities.
