A man sustained
life-threatening injuries after he fell from a bakkie along Ocean drive in salt
rock yesterday afternoon.
Netcare Spokesperson Chris
Botha reported that it is alleged that the bakkie was traveling along Ocean
Terrace when the man fell off the back of the bakkie and landed in the roadway.
Netcare 911 paramedics and
another service arrived at the scene and found the critically injured man lying
in the roadway.
After placing him on a
ventilator and skilfully immobilising him on a trauma board, they transported
the patient to a local hospital for the care that he required.
Officials were on scene for
further investigation Botha added
