Newborn baby found abandoned in pit toilet in KZN

A newborn baby has been found in a public pit toilet in the Hlenzeni settlement in Umkomaas KwaZulu Natal this afternoon.

ER24 Paramedics were alerted to the incident after the baby was discovered by the South Africa police members.

ER24 Spokesperson Russel Meiring said the Police alerted ER24 paramedics to assist.

“An ER24 paramedic climbed down into the pit toilet to recover the baby. They found that he was already dead. There was nothing that they could do to revive him,” Meiring added



The exact details of the incident are unknown. However, police are investigating.
