Dead man found in open field

The body of man believed to be in his 30s was found in a open field near BM section in Khayelitsha early yesterday morning.
The body was discovered by a passerby, with his hands tied with wire to his waist and with visible injuries to his head.
Police Captain Anneke van der Vyver says the identity of the man is not known and he still had his clothes on.
“The deceased was dressed in white sneakers, blue jeans, a navy hooded top, orange jersey and yellow T-shirt. He is about 1,72 meters tall, and had a beard and moustache” said van der Vyver.
She says the public are requested to assist the Khayelitsha police in the investigation of a murder case.
“We have opened a case of Murder for investigation and nobody has been arrested yet”, she concluded.
