Angry residents from Tambo Square informal settlement in Gugulethu have set the public toilets alight.

The residents are complaining that the bucket system toilets are not safe.

“There was a training that was given to each and everyone on how to use the system” said ward councillor Belinda Landingwe.

She said it took public participation and there were meetings held between the councillor’s office and one complained and now people are protesting that they don’t want these toilets.
