Cape Town police have confirmed that two Ocean View teenagers have been arrested after setting their dogs on a baboon.
The suspects, aged 14 and 16, set their two pit bull terriers on a baboon they spotted roaming the area.
The baboon was taken to a nearby vet for treatment after sustaining bites to its entire body.
The boys were charged with a similar incident after allowing their dogs to attack and kill a cat.
They have been charged with illegal hunting. The dogs have been impounded pending an investigation.
