Firefighters are on high alert again today following hot and stormy conditions sparking wildfire warnings.
Over the past 24 hours Cape Town firefighters had their hands full with shack fires leaving nearly one-hundred-and-twenty people displaced.
In Seawinds last night a fire swept through an informal settlement leaving 60 people homeless.
In the early hours of this morning a fire gutted 20 shacks in the Joe Slovo informal settlement leaving nearly 60 people homeless.
Disaster risk management Wilfred Solomons-Johannes said that the fires will be investigated and they will be assisting the families today.
