The International Organisation for Migration said that human trafficking is becoming much worse than drug related offences.
Yesterday a Cape Town man was sentenced to over 20 years in jail for trafficking.
Vukani Shembe lured a young Swazi woman to the country in 2009 and kept her as his sex slave.
In another incident Capetonian Sajida Sungey and her children was rescued in Pakistan after being held against their will by her husband.
The organisations Resh Mehta said the government is taking concrete steps to curb the problem.
Mehta added that it seems like an insurmountable problem and something that exists in all parts of the world.
