Kidnapper in custody

Yesterday the City of Cape Town bosses praised law enforcement officials after their arrest of an alleged child kidnapper.

Chante Christofells was abducted from a Bellville parking lot in 2011 by a woman who had promised to buy her food.

The suspect will appear in court today.

A woman from Mitchell’s Plain was arrested for kidnapping the three-year-old.
