The Minerals Resources Minister Susan Shabangu has filed an affidavit in the North Gauteng High Court.
She has requested the task team to set up an investigation around the impact of fracking in the Karoo region.
Shabangu refused to reveal the names of the people on the team to the Treasure the Karoo Action Group.
Jonathan Deal chairperson of TKAG says that they have been calling for information for months and are now pleased to have received some form of response.
