The Food and Allied workers Union says the latest change to the labour law’s still do not protect farm workers.
The union’s Gafieldien Benjamin says they believe the amendments are not going to benefit farm workers who do seasonal work.
The stricter regulations enforced by minister of labour Mildred Oliphant demand that workers be permanently employed after working for six months.
Parliament is currently holding hearings on the amendments.
