North West Police calls for the public`s assistance

The North West police have called for the public to come forward with any information that they might have on the killing of a farmer on Leeubos farm in Bloemhof.

The body of 46-year-old At van der Merwe was discovered on the floor of his study on Tuesday.

He had head injuries and the house was searched.

Police said they suspect that the attackers gained entry into Van der Merwe's farmhouse by digging a hole underneath a security fence.

Van der Merwe's car is still missing.
