Public Safety MEC in the North West Desbo Mohono says he is concerned about the number of pedestrians killed on the roads over the weekend.
Mohono’s spokesman Simon Lesolang says thus far six people have died over the weekend in North West and four of them were pedestrians.
Mohono says the province needs to strengthen its road safety education campaign.
Meanwhile a traffic police has arrested a motorcyclist caught doing two-hundred-and-nine-kilometres on the N1 in Gauteng.
