The South African Broadcasting experts say South Africans will have to pay about 700-Rands for a set top box and a new antenna to prevent losing their free television signal.

In June 2015 South Africa will move from terrestrial signals to digital broadcasting to be in line with the rest of the world.

This change is called digital migration.

Communications Minister Dina Pule says that government will make provision for a portion of the cost for the poorest households.
