The Congress of South African Trade Unions (Cosatu) has made claims that the DA government is taking money from soup kitchens in poor areas to polish the ego of Helen Zille.
This comes after the findings on Friday by public protector Thuli Madonsela.
The Western Cape provincial government was found guilty of maladministration in a communication tender.
Cosatu’s Tony Ehrenreich said they asked the public protector to look more deeply into the matter because R70 million to be spent over three years to polish an image of a premier is unacceptable.
