The DA in Gauteng has called on the Education Department to crackdown on maladministration in feeding schemes at primary schools in the province.

The DA's Dion George says more than 1 800 children at the Muzomuhle Primary School in Midrand have not been receiving their daily food ration.

The feeding scheme is believed to have been disrupted by change in service providers.

George says it's unacceptable as some children's only meal is the one they receive at school.
