A road construction worker was killed and eight of his colleagues seriously injured when a car rammed into a stationary truck on the N1 on Thursday.
It is believed a car hit a stationery construction truck which was loaded with steel barriers.
ER24’s Derek Banks said ER24 along with other emergency personnel were able to stabilize the people on the scene and transport them to various hospitals in the area.
Authorities on the scene will investigate the cause of the accident and who was at fault.
