Western Cape police today arrested two men, following a high-speed chase involving several police cars on Baden Powell Drive.

Members of the police's flying squad were conducting routine patrols on the N2 Highway near Khayelitsha, when they spotted the suspicious vehicle.

Police Spokesperson November Filander said as the South African Police Services Members approached the car the driver sped off.

Filander said the car chase ended at Park wood Estate after the suspects crashed into a wall, and upon searching the vehicle two men were found in possession of abalone.

Filander also said the two suspects were arrested, while the other two ran away.
