R55 million Social Housing Project launched in Milnerton

Western Cape Human Settlements MEC Boginkosi Madikizela together with City of Cape Town Mayor Patricia de Lille and National Human Settlements Minister Tokyo Sexwale, will today be handing over houses to beneficiaries.
The Social Housing project will provide 120 Social Rental Housing opportunities for families earning between 2, 200-Rand and 7, 500-Rand per month.
Spokesperson for Minister Madikizela Bruce Oom said the project has cost around 55 million rand to produce a partnership between the Western Cape government, the City of Cape Town the social housing regularity authority and communicare.
The project is designed for people who are entering the housing market who can pay some level of rental and it will also help to put the first roof over their head.
Oom adds that it has been a very successful project and they looking forward to helping the people of the Western Cape.
