Denosa- Healthcare workers are not safe

The Democratic Nursing Organisation of South Africa says the hostage drama at Mangaung Maximum Security Private Prison shows how vulnerable healthcare workers are.
This comes after a Doctor was held hostage at the Mangaung Correctional Centre just outside Bloemfontein
Denosa Spokesperson Sibongiseni Delihlazo said Healthcare workers are not safe even in facilities that should be the safest.
Delihlazo said this is one of many incidents towards healthcare workers, but some incidents are not reported due to geographical reasons.
He added that such incidents discourage young people from pursuing careers in the nursing profession.
