DA challenges Minister Sisulu to reveal details on anti corruption details

The Democratic Alliance Shadow Minister of public service and administration, Kobus Marais today said that the attack by the Minister of public service and administration, Lindiwe Sisulu, on the DA’s Private members bill which seeks to regulate the business interests of state employees, reveals that she is more interested in headlines than the fight against corruption.

Marais said the DA is very surprised that Minister Lindiwe Sisulu has come out negative against their private members bill in that regard because the DA has seen it in support of what the minister has proclaimed she wants to do.

He added that the problem that they sit with is that in the past there were several times when promises were made that bills will be given to the committee and to parliament, which has never materialised.

Now we have got the mechanisms that a private members bill can be submitted that must go to the committee and that must be considered.
