The Congress of the People Youth Movement has welcomed the dismissal of National Youth Development Agency CEO Steven Ngubeni.

He was dismissed allegedly for fraud in the running of the NYDA.  COPEYM President Nqaba Bhanga said the NYDA has become a lost cause and an embarrassment to the cause of the youth in South Africa and therefore it must be disband.

“The ANC needs to realise that the NYDA must be disband and a national youth ministry needs to be established that will be accountable to parliament.

"We celebrate that one person has left, but there are many of them who will soon come out,” Bhanga added.
