The Congress of South African Trade Union today said it is disappointed at the decision by the Supreme Court of Appeal to dismiss the move by the Opposition Urban Tolling Alliance to stop e-tolling.

Cosatu Spokesperson Patrick Craven said the ruling makes no difference in their fight against e-tolling which was never based on legal issues but what we regard as a political principal.

Craven said cosatu and Gauteng drivers are against the e-tolls because no one wants to pay for the roads and this fight is not over.

Craven also said this is privatization of ought to be a public asset and one of the things which make people more angry is that they have no choice but to use these roads every day of their lives.
