President Jacob Zuma has today
determined that the Dangerous Weapons Act will come into effect in January
2014.
The Act seeks to revoke all existing
legislation which regulates dangerous weapons in the country, in order to
provide a uniform legislation across the country.
Presidency Spokesperson Mac Maharaj
said the Act 6 of appeal for all existing legislation, regulating dangerous
weapons in the republic and to provide for uniform legislation in the country.
Maharaj added that the President
signed dangerous weapons act into law in 24 July 2013 .
