The Environmental Monitoring Group said after hosting a seminar about climate change in Khayelitsha it has become clear that people are in dire need of more environmental education.

EMG Programme Manager Thabang Ngcazela said climate change is an area whereby people are struggling to understand the different terms used and understanding the impact of climate change.

Ngcazela said people who attended the seminar said they want more education on climate change but with language they understand.

“We want as EMG that communities are able to deal with climate change and play their part in protecting the environment” Ngcazela added.
