NSRI responded to shark attack in Jeffery’s Bay

The National Sea Rescue Institute on Friday responded to Lower Point next to Albatross Beach in Jeffrey’s Bay following reports of a shark incident.

A man died in a shark attack in Jeffery’s Bay in the Eastern Cape. 

The body of the man is yet to be identified.

NSRI Spokesperson Craig Lambinon said that when they arrived on the scene, remains of the body believed to be that of an unidentified male were recovered from the waters.

Lambinon added that police are investigating, and it’s believed that at the time of the incident the man was snorkelling.
