The South African Revenue Services officials together with the police conducted a search and seizure operation at an office in Bushbuckridge on Thursday.

It was suspected that a group of individuals were running a business posing as tax advisors to the members of the public.

Sars Spokesperson Adrian Lackey said the group would approach tax payers and ask them for a small service fee and promise them a tax refund.

In exchange they would then claim up to 30 percent of refunds that the tax payer would ultimately reclaim from Sars.

Lackey said SARS foresee more arrested as the investigation continues.
