Western Cape MEC of Finance, Economic Development and Tourism Alan Winde said the province has become a breeding ground for a talented crop of tech entrepreneurs and is well on track to becoming an innovation hub.

This is after MEC Winde met with several ICT businesses last week. Winde said the Bandwidth Barn has played an active role in supporting ICT entrepreneurship in the province’s economy.

“So far I have interactions with a range of IT, and Tec entrepreneurs and it’s been a very exciting day seeing how these young entrepreneurs right here in the South Africa developing are solutions not only for but for the world,” Winde added

He concluded by saying As they  work on these projects to decrease the skills gap in the ICT sector, they  also need to create an enabling environment for entrepreneurs. This is why Red Tape Reduction remains one of our most important priorities.
