Two people wounded after shootout on N12

Two people have been wounded and four others arrested after a shoot-out with police on the N12 Jet Park Road.

It is alleged that the members of the flying squad was given information that a group of robbers would be driving through the area, and as they attempted to stop the vehicle, the alleged robbers opened fire.

Police Spokesperson Katlego Mogale said cases of attempted and conspiracy to commit an armed robbery have been opened.

Mogale reported the members of the flying squad received a lookout wherein where they tried to stop a dark grey Audi.

The suspects in the Audi then fired shots at the flying squad members, who in turn fired back injuring all three of the suspects.


“Another vehicle which is linked to the Audi was searched and two unlicensed firearms were recovered.” Mogale added
