Police decided to set more security outside ATM’s and banks after many cases of robbery had been reported in the Western Cape.

A furniture shop employee robbed between R20 000 and R30 000 cash by three men from First National bank in Diep River on Monday.

Senior Superintendent Billy Jones said, “We set a visible patrol and a specialized operation on ATM’s and banks because people are followed in these places and robbed their cash”.

Jones also said that ever since the patrol was set robbery has decreased.
