The Public Service Commission says only 15 director generals of the 41 government departments declared their financial interests.
The PSC says these financial interests are for the current financial year by the May 31st deadline.
This figure jumped to 34 by the end of last month.
PSC director general Mashwahle Diphofa made the announcement in front of Parliament’s portfolio committee on public service.
Diphofa says the lack of willingness to declare business interests is due to a lack of supervision, responsibility and accountability amongst senior government officials.
