Police in Limpopo have shot and wounded a fifth suspected rhino poacher.

The man was shot on a farm in Naboomspruit yesterday after a rhino was shot.

The farmer told police he and his workers heard shots yesterday while on patrol.

They investigated and found the corpse of the rhino.

Police then managed to find the poachers in dense bush and a shootout ensued during which one of the suspects was wounded.

The search for the other members of the group still continues.
