Western Cape Human Settlements MEC Bonginkosi Madikizela said today that officials will not be deviating from the allocation criteria for state-funded homes.
He met with Khayelitsha residents to discuss their grievances.
Some of the residents complained that only those living on wetland in Site B are to benefit from a new project.
Madikizela claims that this is false.
He said that beneficiaries will be drawn from those living on the wetland and those from surrounding areas.
