MEC Barbara Creecy tackles late coming in schools

Gauteng education MEC Barbara Creecy said that starting from tomorrow learner’s who arrive late for school in Soweto will be taken to a police station and the parents will be called to fetch them.
Creecy also said that it is now time for change.
The MEC made a surprise visit to Lavela Secondary School where she found about 700 hundred students and several teachers were late for classes
According to the statement some teachers said they were late because they travel long distances.
