According to the Western Cape MEC for Community Safety Dan Plato, top cops are being paid by drug lords in the Western Cape.

Plato was quoted to have said that nightclub owners and others who are concerned about the issue is to afraid to go to the police because police were involved with the people they want to complain about.

He added that they have no trust in the police because there are too many police officers on crime bosses payrolls.

The names and the ranks of the police officers allegedly receiving bribes are known by Plato and he is taking it up with police management.
