The South African Youth Council`s expectations for 2012

The South African Youth Council on Thursday said that creating employment opportunities should be the main focus of the State of the Province address.

The Western Cape Premier Helen Zille is expected make a speech on the the provincial legislature today.

In 2011 the focus was primarily on health, education and to start the Economic Development Agency to unify provincial structures.

The SA Youth Council's Thembinkosi Josopu said that skills development in youth should be the key.

Josophu further said that the Premier needs to come up with a programme showing how young people are to be skilled.
