Six prisoners are a still at large after escaping from the Morokweng police station in North West on Monday.
They had cut through the cell door.
The men got away before another prisoner who had been in the same cell alerted police.
A seventh fugitive was re-arrested yesterday in Mahikeng. He is facing charges of attempted murder, car hijacking and robbery.
