The Young Communist League of South Africa said the denial by the Israeli government to grant Higher Education Minister Blade Nzimande a visa to travel to Palestine is a spit in the face of the South African government.
Minister Nzimande trip was a
follow-up visit on promoting research collaboration between the University of
Johannesburg and institutions in Palestine.
YCLSA National Spokesperson Khaya
Xaba said on top of the disaster they performed in Palestine they still want to
block education relationship between SA and Palestine.
“So we feel that our government should
expel the ambassador of Israel Arthur Lenk and he must go back home immediately”
Xaba added.
Meanwhile the department said they
view this as an attack on the country’s government.
